Case description:

Human rights activist run over by a horse-drawn cart, in a seeming, but suspicious accident. Earlier that day three Communist Party members had visited his home to threaten him for placing  stickers with the word "change" on the walls of his house. He had visited his son that day and told him he as more committed than ever to the human rights struggle.
State Security agents prevented flower wreaths at the funeral home from bearing ribbons with the names of human rights or opposition groups that sent them, but his son made the ribbons at home and placed them on the flowers. For the burial, almost 100 State Security agents were stationed along the route of the procession to the cemetery.

El activista de derechos humanos fue atropellado por un carro tirado a caballos. Ese mismo día, tres miembros del Partido Comunista habían visitado su casa para amenazarlo por colocar calcomanías con la palabra "cambio" en las paredes de su casa. Más tarde había visitado a su hijo y le insistió que estaba más comprometido que nunca con la lucha en favor de los derechos humanos.
