Case description:

Cuban young man randomly shot in Ciudad Juárez, México, as he sat on a bench outdoor, at night, in front of the hotel where he and his uncle were staying. He had arrived three days earlier from Nogales and was awaiting entry into the U.S. under a Migrant Migration Protocols (MPP) petition for asylum. He had just been informed that he would soon be allowed into the United States. The Mexico office of the United Nations High Commissioner on Refugees condemned the murder in a statement posted on social media and said: "We trust the authorities will exhaustively investigate to solve this regrettable incident."

Ciudadano cubano que estaba en línea para reingresar a los Estados Unidos para presentar una solicitud de asilo fue asesinado en Ciudad Juárez, México. Cristian estaba en territorio mexicano como parte del MPP( Protocolos de Protección al Migrante) a la espera de que un juez estadounidense resolviera su caso. Cristian había sido informado recientemente que se le permitiría ingresar a los Estados Unidos. La oficina de México del Alto Comisionado de las Naciones Unidas para los Refugiados condenó el asesinato en un comunicado publicado en las redes sociales: “Condenamos el asesinato en Ciudad Juárez de Cristian San Martín Estrada, solicitante de asilo cubano bajo MPP, quien hubiera reingresado a EEUU en los próximos días.
