Case description:

Young man who had been serving almost 2 years in prison for stealing. He had been transferred to an "open" regime and notified of another trial, for which the prosecution would ask for 7 to 8 years of prison for him. According to the prison authorities, he had hanged himself in the prison bathroom and his body had been discovered 5 hours later. Four policemen guarded the coffin and prevented photos from being taken inside the funeral home. Jose Luis was described by friends as cheerful, a showman, healthy of heart and soul, a party animal and sociable. He was very remorseful for committing the theft for which he had been sentenced. Due to the circumstances, an extrajudicial killing is possible.

Llevaba casi 2 años cumpliendo prisión por un delito de robo del cual estaba  muy arrepentido. Había sido trasladado a un régimen “abierto” y le notificaron que había otro juicio pendiente por el que le pedían de 7 a 8 años de prisión. Según la versión de las autoridades, se había ahorcado en los baños de la prisión y habían pasado 5 horas cuando se descubrió el cuerpo. 4 policías custodiaron el féretro e impidieron que se tomasen fotos dentro de la funeraria. José Luis fue descrito por amigos como alegre, farandulero, sano de corazón y alma, jodedor, fiestero, sociable.  Por las circunstancias, podría haber sido un asesinato extrajudicial.
