Case description:

Cuban musician shot to death by policeman Roelvis Mendoza while he was celebrating his birthday. According to reports, the officer was drunk and shot Polo Pérez after they had a brief argument. The musician was very popular in Baracoa and hundreds of people attended his funeral and demanded justice. According to Polo Pérez's relatives, Mendoza was transferred to Baracoa after allegedly committing a previous murder in Havana. According to Cuba's official press, the policeman was under arrest.

Músico cubano asesinado a tiros en Vega Larga. municipio de Baracoa, provincia de Guantánamo, por un policía de nombre Roelvis Mendoza, mientras celebraba su cumpleaños. Según los informes, el oficial estaba borracho y le disparó a Polo Pérez por la espalda después de una breve discusión.
