Case description:

Died hours after a brutal beating by anti-narcotics police. He was at a park (Prado de la Villa Panamericana) with his girlfriend on a Friday night when he was intercepted by six policemen and two policewomen alleging he was carrying drugs (his girlfriend insisted he was not). They handcuffed, beat, and kicked him after throwing him to the floor as the girlfriend screamed "You are killing him."  Initially transferred to the Cojímar police station, he was taken to a local clinic, where he was pronounced dead. The doctor was pressured by authorities to state in the death certificate that the cause of death was a heart attack.

Murió horas después de una golpiza brutal por parte de policías antinarcóticos.  Estaba en un parque con su novia un viernes en la noche cuando fue interceptado por ocho policías que alegaban que llevaba drogas (su novia insistió que no era cierto). Le esposaron, golpearon y patearon después de tirarlo al piso. Inicialmente fue trasladado a la estación de policía de Cojímar y, luego, a una clínica local, donde fue declarado muerto. Las autoridades presionaron al médico para que declarara en el certificado de defunción que la causa de la muerte había sido un ataque cardíaco.
