Vicente Borges González, 60, passed away on February 18, at approximately 7:00 p.m., inside the Ariza prison in Cienfuegos. According to his family, the incident took place in the facility's infirmary, where two inmates were being treated for burns. While there, one of the inmates directly attacked him, while the other remained present in the area. Vicente Borges González, de 60 años, falleció el 18 de febrero, alrededor de las 7:00 p.m., dentro de la prisión de Ariza, en Cienfuegos. Según la versión familiar, los hechos ocurrieron en la enfermería del penal, donde se encontraban dos reclusos que estaban siendo atendidos por quemaduras. En ese lugar, uno de ellos lo atacó directamente, mientras el otro permanecía presente en el área. La agresión se produjo dentro de un espacio médico bajo custodia estatal y terminó con la muerte del recluso. Vicente Borges González se encontraba cumpliendo sanción por procesos judiciales relacionados con corrupción de menores y violencia familiar.
