Case description:

Was presumably serving a sentence for a non-political offense. A charismatic and friendly young man well liked by fellow prisoners, who reported his death was caused by neglect. He developed a high fever and after seven days had received practically no medical care. After a week, when his condition had deteriorated considerably, he was taken to the prison infirmary and was referred to the San Cristóbal hospital. His transfer was delayed three days and he died shortly after arriving. Several prosecutors then visited the prison, but prisoners reported they only filled out forms and interviewed prisoners in a different wing who had no idea what had ensued rather than the actual witnesses. Taco Taco prison reportedly had 700 prisoners at the time of this death.

Presuntamente estaba cumpliendo una condena por un delito común. Un joven carismático y amigable muy querido por sus compañeros de prisión, quien informaron que su muerte fue causada por negligencia. Desarrolló una fiebre alta y después de siete días prácticamente no había recibido atención médica. Después de una semana, cuando su estado se había deteriorado considerablemente, fue trasladado a la enfermería de la prisión y remitido al hospital San Cristóbal. Su traslado se retrasó tres días y murió poco después de llegar. Luego, varios fiscales visitaron la prisión, pero los presos informaron que solo completaron formularios y entrevistaron a presos en un ala diferente que no tenían idea de lo que había sucedido en lugar de los testigos reales. Según los informes, la prisión de Taco Taco tenía 700 prisioneros al momento de esta muerte.
