Case description:

Member of the Revolutionary Armed Forces and aid to Captain Cristino Naranjo killed by gunfire by Captain Manuel Beatón while traveling in a car with an aide in the military base Camp Columbia. Beatón was a man closely linked to Raúl Castro. Initially, he alleged personal reasons for shooting Naranjo, later he stated the car had provided an incorrect passcode to enter the base. 
Naranjo was investigating the mysterious circumstances of the airplane flight during which of his friend Commander Camilo Cienfuego and two others had disappeared a few days earlier, on Oct. 28, 1959. There are credible testimonies that Cienfuegos and the others were killed by order of Fidel and Raul Castro. Beatón was later executed Several others tied to Camilo's disappearance also died in mysterious circumstances.

Cristino Naranjo asesinado por el Capitán Manuel Beatón mientras viajaba en un automóvil con Naranjo en la base militar Campamento Columbia. Beatón era un hombre muy vinculado a Raúl Castro. Inicialmente, alegó razones personales para disparar, luego afirmó que el auto había proporcionado una contraseña incorrecta para ingresar a la base.
Naranjo investigaba las misteriosas circunstancias del vuelo del avión durante el cual su amigo el comandante Camilo Cienfuego y otros dos habían desaparecido días antes, el 28 de octubre de 1959.
