Case description:

A militiaman killed in the hijacking of a commercial DC-3 flight of Cubana de Aviación flying from Havana to Nueva Gerona, Isle of Pines. The plane was hijacked to Florida with 34 passengers and a crew of four including the militiaman guarding the plane. In the struggle, shots were fired and the pilot, co-pilot and a 13year old were injured, and a doctor on board treated them. Upon arriving in Florida, the pilot, doctor and nine passengers requested political asylum.

Miliciano que murió en el secuestro de un vuelo comercial DC-3 de Cubana de Aviación que volaba desde La Habana a Nueva Gerona, Isla de Pinos. El avión fue secuestrado a Florida con 34 pasajeros y una tripulación de cuatro, incluyendo al miliciano que vigilaba el avión. Durante el secuestro hubo disparos y el piloto, el copiloto y un niño de 13 años resultaron heridos, y un médico a bordo los atendió. Al llegar a Florida, el piloto, el médico y nueve pasajeros solicitaron asilo político.
