Case description:

William was taken prisoner while attempting to exit Cuba by boat for the United States and executed by firing squad with two co-workers after a one-day trial in which no evidence was presented. They were sentenced to death on the basis of a letter signed by three hundred union members that only stated that they could be capable of the November 30, 1960 bombing (sabotage) of an electrical utility plant. They were executed within twenty-four hours of the trial.

William fue hecho prisionero mientras intentaba salir de Cuba en barco hacia los Estados Unidos y ejecutado por un pelotón de fusilamiento con dos compañeros de trabajo después de un juicio de un día en el que no se presentaron pruebas. Fueron condenados a muerte sobre la base de una carta firmada por trescientos miembros del sindicato que solo declaraba que podían haber sido capaces del atentado (sabotaje) de una planta eléctrica el 30 de noviembre de 1960. Fueron ejecutados dentro de las veinticuatro horas posteriores al juicio.
