Case description:

He took to sea on August 20, 2002, attempting to flee Cuba. His body was found by the U.S. Coast Guard near the coast of Cape Canaveral in a state of decomposition and partly eaten by marine life. He had been granted an entry visa to the United States, but due to his profession as dentist, had been denied exit by the Cuban government. Health practitioners who seek to emigrate have been typically retained for at least five years and fired or demoted and transferred to undesirable locations and jobs.

Su cuerpo fue encontrado por la Guardia Costera de los Estados Unidos cerca de la costa de Cabo Cañaveral en un estado de descomposición y parcialmente comido por peces.
