Case description:

Batista Army Soldier arrested at the military barracks Cuartel de la Palma, Pinar del Rio, on January 2nd 1959, put through a summary revolutionary tribunal, and executed by firing squad 14 days later, on war crime charges (allegedly for having killed 3 revolutionaries at the Army barracks). The family received a death certificate stating cause of death as hemorrhage due to natural causes. His twin brother, Luis Miguel, was also a member of the Armed Forces and executed the same day.

Soldado del Ejército de Batista detenido en el cuartel militar de la Palma, Pinar del Río, el 2 de enero de 1959, sometido a un tribunal revolucionario sumario, y ejecutado por un pelotón de fusilamiento 14 días después, por crímenes de guerra (presuntamente por haber matado a 3 revolucionarios en el cuartel del ejército). La familia recibió un certificado de defunción que indicaba la causa de muerte como hemorragia por causas naturales. Su hermano gemelo, Luis Miguel, también era miembro de las Fuerzas Armadas y fue ejecutado el mismo día.
