Case description:

Arniolkis' family did not know he was in prison; he was an HIV-AIDS patient. On September 14, 2013 at 5:30AM a police agent went to their house and asked them to make a phone call to a certain number. They were told to go to a funeral home, where they were shown Arniolkis' body, naked and with handcuffs. A prison official named  Eddy Santana Videaux told them he had been detained a few months earilier, in April 2013, and on September 2nd (2013) had been taken to a hospital due to medicine poisoning, but had died the evening of September 12th. The family has requested an explanation of the circumstances of his death to the Countil of State, the Municipal and National Prosecutor's office, and the Prison Administration Authority, and has only received "incoherent" responses.

La familia de Arniolkis no sabía que estaba en prisión; era un paciente con VIH-SIDA. El 14 de septiembre de 2013 a las 5:30 AM un agente de policía fue a su casa y les pidió que hicieran una llamada telefónica a cierto número. Les dijeron que fueran a una funeraria, donde les mostraron el cuerpo de Arniolkis, desnudo y esposado. Un funcionario de la prisión llamado Eddy Santana Videaux les dijo que había sido detenido unos meses antes, en abril de 2013, y que el 2 de septiembre (2013) había sido trasladado a un hospital debido a una intoxicación por medicamentos, pero que había fallecido la noche del 12 de septiembre. La familia ha solicitado una explicación de las circunstancias de su muerte ante el Consejo de Estado, la Fiscalía Municipal y Nacional y la Autoridad de Administración Penitenciaria, y solo ha recibido respuestas "incoherentes".
