He was hanged along with Roberto Nodarse Blanco, Isidoro Roque Cordero, Modesto Trujillo Negrín, and two other men who could not be identified by Batista soldiers including Army Captain Leovigildo Iturriaga, Lieutenant Cassola, Sergeants Capó and Julián Hernández, Private Lara and soldiers Cándido Cordero Díaz and Papito Rivero. They were buried in an intricate place in the Guasimal estate in the municipality of Cabañas in Pinar del Río and discovered days later by some peasants

Fue ahorcado junto a Francisco Rodríguez Valdés, Isidoro Roque Cordero, Modesto Trujillo Negrín, Roberto Nodarse Blanco y otros dos hombres que no pudieron ser identificados, por los soldados del capitán del Ejército de Batista Leovigildo Iturriaga, el teniente Cassola, los sargentos Capó y Julián Hernández, el Cabo Lara y los soldados Cándido Cordero Díaz y Papito Rivero. Fueron enterrados en un lugar intrincado en la finca Guasimal en los términos de Cabañas en Pinar del Río y descubiertos días después por unos campesinos.
