Case description:

Cuban dissident victim of a suspected extrajudicial killing. He was found dead in his home, cyanotic from head to shoulders and with a swollen abdomen. The cause of death was certified as a pulmonary thrombosis, although an autopsy was not performed, as is customary in Cuba, and his relatives insist he was in good health. Sosa was member of two peaceful opposition groups (banned in Cuba), and had endured consistent repression, including visits at his home by a State Security agent known as Yordán. His family requested an investigation of the circumstances of his strange death, to no avail.

Opositor cubano encontrado muerto en su domicilio en condiciones aún sin aclarar. Una tía de Adrián escribió una queja al medio oficialista "Juventud Rebelde" donde explica el mal procedimiento que se siguió con la extraña muerte de su sobrino, quien gozaba de buenas condiciones de salud y que se notaba cianótico desde la cabeza hasta los hombros y con el abdomen inflamado cuando fue hallado muerto. El doctor Mario Borrego certificó como causa de muerte una trombosis pulmonar, pero esto no fue confirmado ya que no se le practicó autopsia al cadáver que ni siquiera pudo ser expuesto, según la encargada de recibir los cadáveres en la funeraria de Marianao porque el cuerpo ya estaba muy descompuesto, tampoco cremado por la misma razón, ni llevado a Medicina Legal. Sosa sufrió la represión del regimen por ser un opositor y recibió la visita en su casa del agente de la Seguridad del Estado y conocido represor nombrado Yordan.
