Directorio Revolucionario Estudiantil, 1965, p. 26, reports the victim assassinated at his home at La Candelaria Farm.  Instituto de la Memoria Histórica Cubana, 2002, p. 28, reports the victim executed by firing squad in San Juan, Oriente province on 6/21/1962.  Clarinada, junio 2009, reports him executed by firing squad with eight others at finca La Candelaria, San Juan, province of Oriente, on June 21, 1962.  Circuito Sur, July 2002, p. 48; Beruvides, 1993, p. 134; and Conte Aguero, 1962, pp. 140-143, report the victim as Juan León Rodríguez, alias Juan Rodríguez León, an anti-Castro insurgent last living in Gibara, province of Oriente (now Holguín), captured and executed by firing squad on site without trial, by Lieutenant Marcaño López of the G-2 State Security Department, at Finca Candelaria, Gibara, province of Oriente (now Holguín), on June 21, 1962.  Cuban American National Foundation, Quilt of Fidel Castro's Genocide, 1994, reports a Juan Rodríguez León, last living in Gibara, province of Oriente (now Holguín), executed by firing squad in Gibara in 1962.
