Case description:

Member of the Cuban Armed Forces who was part of a contingent of Cuban soldiers and workers sent to Grenada as international "collaborators" by the Castro regime. He died in combat against United States troops that invaded the country during Operation Urgent Fury.  The U.S. invasion followed internal strife within Grenada's People's Revolutionary Government that had resulted in the house arrest and execution of  Prime Minister, Maurice Bishop.

Miembro de las Fuerzas Armadas de Cuba que formaba parte de un contingente de soldados y trabajadores cubanos enviados a Granada por el régimen de Castro como "colaboradores" internacionales . Murió en combate contra las tropas de los Estados Unidos que invadieron el país durante la Operación Furia Urgente. La invasión de los Estados Unidos siguió a una lucha interna dentro del Gobierno Revolucionario del Pueblo de Granada que resultó en el arresto domiciliario y la ejecución del Primer Ministro, Maurice Bishop. Fidel Castro había ordenado que todos los cubanos en Granada pelearan hasta la muerte.
