Case description:

Victim of the repressive wave of Christmas day 1956 directed by Army Colonel Fermín Cowley. On Christmas day, William met with four other anti-Batista revolutionaries, Pedro Díaz Coello, Luis Peña, Francisco Badías and Waldo Pérez, at the Vista Alegre Club of Santiago de Cuba. They planned to meet later that evening to carry out an anti-government armed action. Soon after leaving, Aguilera and Peña were arrested by members of the SIM (Military Intelligence Service). Taken to a police staton and, later, to a military garrison, they were tortured and shot to death. Their bullet riddled-bodies were found the following morning at a baseball field known as Liceo Park.

Víctima de la ola represiva conocida como "Pascuas Sangrientas", dirigida por el Coronel Fermín Cowley. El día de Navidad en la tarde se reunió en el club Vista Alegre de Santiago de Cuba con Pedro Díaz Coello, Luis Peña, Francisco Badías y Waldo Pérez y planificaron volver a encontrarse a “hacer algún atentado” aquella noche. Al poco rato de salir del club, Curry y Peña fueron detenidos y conducidos a la estación de policía y luego al regimiento. Fueron torturados y rematados a balazos. Sus cuerpos fueron encontrados la mañana siguiente en los terrenos del campo de pelota conocido como Liceo Park.
