WAQI-Radio Mambí, p. 97, has him assassinated under arrest at the G-2 State Security office in Havana.  Beruvides, 1993, p. 170; Cuban American National Foundation, Quilt of Fidel Castro's Genocide, 1994; Encinosa, 1994, p. 137; WAQI-Radio Mambí, p. 97; and L. González Infante, Rostros-Faces, p. 295, all report the date of death as December 14, 1963 or Sept. 30, 1963 - some report the location as Las Villas. Instituto de la Memoria Histórica Cubana, 2002, p. 19, has him killed in combat in a shootout with police on March 14, 1963.  E. Ros, El clandestinaje, 2006, p. 363, reports the victim arrested with Jorge Espino Escala and Ricardo Olmedo, but died in a shootout against his guards, using a hidden gun, killed by his third guard. E. Ros, El clandestinaje, 2006, p. 381, also reports a Luis Rodríguez dying on March 4, 1963.
Beruvides, 1993, p. 170; Cuban American National Foundation, Quilt of Fidel Castro's Genocide, 1994; and WAQI-Radio Mambí, p. 101, report a victim by that name executed by firing squad at Puente Rodrigo, Quemado de Güines, province of Las Villas (now Villa Clara), on December 28, 1962.
