Organization of American States, Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, Fourth Special Report, Report for 1967, 7 April 1967, p. 6. reports him assassinated on October 23, 1966. Beruvides, 1993, p. 84. Cuban American National Foundation, Quilt of Fidel Castro's Genocide, 1994. Nuestra Cuba, 1998, p. 88. Circuito Sur, July 2002, p. 2 also report a Francisco Águila Galano, age 21, from Caimanera, Guantánamo, killed in an exit attempt while trying to reach the U.S. naval base on October 25, 1965.
Beruvides, 1993, p. 8; Cuban America National Foundation, Quilt of Fidel Castro's Genocide, 1994; Nuestra Cuba, 1998, p. 3; and Circuito Sur, July 2002, p. 2, all report a Francisco Aguila, age 21, an anti-Castro guerrilla rebel killed in combat near Las Villas on 1/2/1963.
