Clarinada, diciembre 2008, reports the victim as Ramiro Machin (padre), executed by firing squad on December 17, 1970, in Ranchuelo, Las Villas, accused of sabotaging ten million from Zafra.  United States Information Agency, 1993, Year 1967; Bereuvides, 1993, p. 138; Cuban American National Foundation, Quilt of Fidel Castro's Genocide, 1994; WAQI-Radio Mambí, p. 27; Nuestra Cuba, 1888, p. 18; and Circuito Sur, July 2002, p. 50, report the victim as Ramiro Machín, a forty-five-year-old prisoner last living in Ranchuelo, province of Las Villas (now Villa Clara), executed by firing squad in Santa Clara, province of Las Villas (now Villa Clara), on charges of sabotage, despite his pleas of innocence, on March 20, 1967.
