Case description:

Policeman patient convalescing of hernia surgery in the hospital adjacent to the Moncada Barracks in Santiago de Cuba shot in the head as he looked out a window during the revolutionary forces attack on the military facility. Two other persons died in the same circumstances. It was later claimed that the attacking rebels had murdered them, but Manuel Bartolomé, director of the Bartolomé Funeral Parlor in Santiago de Cuba, where all the attack victims were taken, reported that the bodies had fatal bullet wounds and no signs of knife wounds or mutilations.

Policía que se encontraba internado en el hospital adyacente al Cuartel Moncada  en Santiago de Cuba y recibió un disparo en la cabeza mientras miraba por la ventana durante el ataque de las fuerzas revolucionarias a las instalaciones militares. Otras dos personas murieron pot las mismas circunstancias. Más tarde, se dijo que los rebeldes atacantes los habían asesinado, pero Manuel Bartolomé, director de la funeraria Bartolomé en Santiago de Cuba, donde se llevaron a todas las víctimas del ataque, informó que los cuerpos tenían heridas de bala fatales y no había signos de heridas de cuchillo o mutilaciones.
