Case description:

Shot by border guards at Cojímar beach, near Havana, presumably as he attempted to swim at night towards the boat 'Midnight Express,' that had come from Florida to fetch asylum seekers. The location was well known for boats to come fetch family and friends from Cuba and people gathered there to await the opportunity to escape. 
Two other youngsters were also killed that night apparently in the same incident, though they did not know each other. Witnesses refused to talk to the families about what happened. The three families were forbidden from talking or contacting each other.

 Asesinado por guardias fronterizos en la playa de Cojímar, cerca de La Habana, presumiblemente cuando trató de nadar hacia el barco 'Midnight Express', que había venido de la Florida. La ubicación era bien conocida porque había barcos que venían a buscar familiares y amigos y la gente se reunia allí para esperar la oportunidad de escapar.
Otros dos jóvenes también fueron asesinados esa noche al parecer en el mismo incidente, aunque no se conocían. Los testigos se negaron a hablar con las familias sobre lo que sucedió. A las tres familias se les prohibió hablar o ponerse en contacto unas con otras.
