Case description:

Drowned, together with 36 men, women and children, while attempting to escape Cuba in the tugboat '13 de marzo' after it was intercepted and rammed by vessels commanded by Cuban authorities. Her remains are missing; the Cuban government refused to return any recovered bodies to their families.
Had been a member of the Communist Pioneers. She was studying Accounting and Planning at the time of her death. In November of 1993, she had married Daniel Erick, who was going with his family on the tugboat. Daniel survived and is still in Cuba.

Se ahogó junto con 36 hombres, mujeres y niños, que intentaban escapar de Cuba en el remolcador 13 de marzo, después de ser interceptado y golpeado por buques comandados por las autoridades cubanas. Había sido miembro de los Pioneros Comunistas. Estaba estudiando Contabilidad y Planificación. En noviembre de 1993 se había casado con Daniel Erick, que iba con su familia en el remolcador. Daniel sobrevivió y todavía está en Cuba.
