Case description:

Former intelligence officer for the Castro government who deserted in 1960 and subsequently founded the anti-Castro group Commandos L, conducting more than 30 infiltration missions into Cuba. In combat with Cuban Navy patrol boats off the coast of Miramar on May 29, 1966, Havana, he was captured and injured in one such mission, he lost his sight and one hand and was sentenced to twelve years of prison. He served his sentence in several prisons in Cuba. After his release in 1978, he went into exile in the United States. While at the Kilo 7 prison he had been injected with the Hepatitis B virus and left untreated, to which his death of liver cirrhosis and kidney failure is attributed.

Ex oficial de inteligencia del gobierno de Castro que desertó en 1960 y posteriormente fundó el grupo anticastrista Commandos L, realizando más de 30 misiones de infiltración en Cuba. En combate con lanchas patrulleras de la Armada de Cuba frente a las costas de Miramar el 29 de mayo de 1966, La Habana, fue capturado y herido en una de esas misiones, perdió la vista y una mano y fue condenado a doce años de prisión. Cumplió su condena en varias cárceles de Cuba. Después de su liberación en 1978, se exilió en los Estados Unidos. Mientras estaba en la prisión de Kilo 7 le habían inyectado el virus de la hepatitis B y no lo habían tratado, a lo que se atribuye su muerte por cirrosis hepática e insuficiencia renal.
