Case description:

Member of 5-person team captured after a clandestine landing from overseas (Key West, Florida) on March 9, 1961 at Bahía Honda, province of Pinar del Río. The men belonged to the opposition group MIRR (Movimiento Insurreccional de Recuperacion Revolucionaria) and planned to join the resistance fighting against the Castro government. The judicial sentence (of death by firing squad) states that they were bearing arms but had not engaged in any armed actions before being captured. First Lt. Enrique Montes de Oca presided over the revolutionary tribunal that sentenced them to death.

Miembro de un grupo de 5 personas capturados después de un aterrizaje clandestino desde el extranjero (Key West, Florida) el 9 de marzo de 1961 en Bahía Honda, provincia de Pinar del Río. Los hombres pertenecían al grupo opositor MIRR (Movimiento Insurreccional de Recuperación Revolucionaria) y planeaban unirse a la resistencia que luchaba contra el gobierno de Castro. La sentencia judicial (de muerte por pelotón de fusilamiento) establece que llevaban armas pero no habían participado en ninguna acción armada antes de ser capturados. El primer teniente Enrique Montes de Oca presidió el tribunal revolucionario que los sentenció a muerte.
