Case description:

Prominent freemason in Matanzas and former officer in the military (graduated from the military academy in 1948) who joined the resistance and founded the organization Acción Cívica Anticomunista, of which he was Secretary General. He was arrested on March 14, 1961 in possession of 8 tons of arms for the resistance. He was sentenced to death for conspiring against the powers of the state and refusing to inform on fellow conspirators. He intended to appeal, which was his right, but was executed before he could exercise it, 4 weeks after his arrest. His death certificate states cause of death as internal hemorrhage. He left a 28 year old wife and three children, ages two, four and seven (Joaquín, MIguel and Felipe).

Prominente Masón en Matanzas y ex oficial de las Fuerzas Armadas (egresado de la academia militar en 1948) que se unió a la resistencia y fundó la organización Acción Cívica Anticomunista, de la que fue Secretario General. Fue detenido el 14 de marzo de 1961 con posesión de 8 toneladas de armas para la resistencia. Fue condenado a muerte por conspirar contra los poderes del estado y negarse a informar sobre otros conspiradores. Tenía la intención de apelar, que era su derecho, pero fue ejecutado antes de que pudiera ejercerlo, cuatro semanas después de su detención. Su certificado de defunción indica la causa de la muerte como hemorragia interna. Dejó esposa de 28 años y tres hijos de dos, cuatro y siete años (Joaquín, Miguel y Felipe).
