Case description:

Niurka was killed with her husband and another Cuban and five other people in an automobile accident in Brazil as they drove towards the border with Uruguay, which they planned to enter illegally to seek work. All three had emigrated from Cuba in search of a better future. They had traveled a usual route for Cuban migrants, first by air to Guyana, then to Brazil. At the Porto Alegre (Brazil) airport, they had boarded a taxi to the Chuí region, bordering Uruguay. The vehicle crashed aproximately 50 kms. before reaching its destination.  Niurka left three sons age 18, 19 and 30, from a previous marriage, who are currently living in Miami.

Niurka, su esposo y otro emigrante cubano,fallecieron en un accidente automovilístico cuando viajaban por taxi desde Brasil hacia Uruguay, donde planeaban entrar de forma irregular en busca de empleo. Todos habían abandonado la isla buscando un mejor futuro.  García Roque dejó en Miami tres hijos de 18, 19 y 30 años de un matrimonio anterior.
