Case description:

Executed with nine others on charges of conspiracy against powers of the state for their participation in the August 30, 1962 conspiracy to overthrow the Castro government. Around 500 persons were arrested, some were executed. At least a dozen served long prison sentences.
Montes de Oca was the military coordinator for Havana for the resistance movement 30 de noviembre. He had been fighting against the Batista and Castro dictatorships from his high school years. He used to tell his friend, "As long as my country needs me, I'll be involved." When he was given the death sentence, he said to his friends: "Don't worry about me. I know how to die."

Ejecutado con otros nueve acusados de conspiración contra los poderes del estado por su participación en la conspiración del 30 de agosto de 1962 para derrocar al gobierno de Castro. Alrededor de 500 personas fueron detenidas, algunas fueron ejecutadas. Al menos una docena cumplieron largas penas de prisión.
Montes de Oca fue el coordinador militar para La Habana del movimiento de resistencia 30 de noviembre. Había estado luchando contra las dictaduras de Batista y Castro desde sus años de escuela secundaria. Solía decirle a sus amigos: "Mientras mi país me necesite, estaré involucrado".
