Case description:

Leader of an Escambray guerrilla band, the Asturianitos, to which three of his brothers also belonged, killed in combat together with his brother Dionisio. Two other brothers were injured. Small farmers, they had joined the armed uprising against the Castro regime.  Their father was assassinated by Castro militias a month earlier at their home in front of his wife, their property was confiscated and all family members had been evacuated from the area. The brothers, whose bodies were never returned to the family for burial,  had dual citizenship, Cuban and Spanish (their father had been born in Asturias, Spain).

Líder de una banda guerrillero, Los Asturianitos, en el Escambray, provincia de Las Villas, a la que también pertenecían tres de sus hermanos, murió en combate junto a su hermano Dionisio. Otros dos hermanos resultaron heridos. Eran pequeños agricultores, se habían unido al levantamiento armado contra el régimen de Castro. Su padre fue asesinado por las milicias de Castro un mes antes en su casa frente a su esposa, sus propiedades fueron confiscadas y todos los miembros de la familia habían sido forzosamente  evacuados del área. Los hermanos, cuyos cuerpos nunca fueron devueltos a la familia para su entierro, tenían doble nacionalidad, cubana y española (su padre había nacido en Asturias, España).
