United States Information Agency, 1993, Year 1961, reports him as Vicente Catalan, executed by firing squad in May 1961.  Cuban American National Foundation, Quilt of Fidel Castro's Genocide, 1994; Beruvides, 1993, p. 155; and United States Information Agency, 1993, Year 1964, all report a Flores Pelaez, collaborator of Escambray guerrillas, executed by firing squad in Ranchuelo, Las Villas in 1964. Beruvides, 1993, p. 155; and WAQI-Radio Mambí, p. 7, also report a Flores Pelaez executed in 1959.
