Case description:

Police sergeant executed by firing squad at La Cabaña Fortress prison. His ex-wife and a sister, who attended his trial, saw the 'witnesses' kept together in a separate room and being told what to say. When Clausell’s designated witness was asked to identify him, he pointed to another person. He was still sentenced to death, the appeal was held the following day, and he was executed immediately after the hearing. Several members of the Clausell family going back one generation belonged to the police force. His family was devastated and his 9-year old son traumatized. Two of his cousins, Ángel María and Demetrio Clausell, also career policemen, were executed as well.

Un sargento de la Policía, ejecutado bajo cargos fabricados. Su hermana informa que su ex esposa y otra hermana, que estaban presentes en su juicio, vieron a los "testigos" a quienes se les decía lo que debían decir y se mantenían juntos en una habitación separada. Cuando su testigo designado fue presentado y preguntó quién era Raúl Clausell, señaló a otra persona. La apelación se celebró al día siguiente de su juicio y fue ejecutado inmediatamente después de la audiencia. Toda su familia fue devastada y su hijo de 9 años muy traumatizado por el evento. Varios miembros de la familia de la víctima pertenecían a la Fuerza de Policía, que se remonta a una generación. Dos de sus primos, Ángel María Clausell y Demetrio Clausell, también policías de carrera, también fueron ejecutados.
