Case description:

Former student of Business Administration at the University in Santiago de Cuba. After Castro came to power and imposed a communist regime, Ramón went into exile and took part in the failed Bay of Pigs invasion. He then became a member of U.S government-sponsored infiltration teams to Cuba in opposition of the Communist regime. On October 26, 1964, the boat loaded with explosives in which he was traveling to the island exploded, presumably by accident. He and three other team members disappeared at sea. His father was later executed in 1966, falsely accused of committing arson, conspiring against the Castro regime, and spying.

Después de que Castro llegó al poder e impuso un régimen comunista, Ramón se exilió y participó en la fallida invasión de Bahía de Cochinos. Luego fue miembro de los equipos de infiltración a Cuba patrocinados por el gobierno de Estados Unidos en oposición al régimen comunista. El 26 de octubre de 1964 explotó, presuntamente por accidente, la embarcación cargada de explosivos en la que viajaba a la isla. Él y otros tres miembros del equipo desaparecieron en el mar. Su padre fue posteriormente ejecutado en 1966, acusado falsamente de cometer un incendio premeditado, conspirar contra el régimen de Castro y espiar.
