Case description:

Leading member of the Communist Youth Party also reported as a university professor and/or Minister arrested for his alleged role in a "microfaction" conspiracy or an infiltration into Cuba and for having helped draft an analysis/report of the failure of the much-touted 10 million ton sugar harvest and Fidel Castro's mistakes. His death was reported as a suicide, and there are two versions: that he died under interrogation and that he killed himself with a shot to the heart after returning home from prison.

Destacado miembro de la Juventud del Partido Comunista arrestado por su participación en una conspiración de microfacción o una infiltración en Cuba de elementos contrarios al régimen. Fue arrestado y puesto bajo investigación por haber participado en la redacción de un análisis sobre la situación nacional, sobre el fracaso de la zafra de los diez millones y los errores del máximo líder en relación con la misma. Se reportó que se había suicidado. Algunas fuentes reportan que murió durante un interrogatorio y otras que se suicidó al regresar de la cárcel.
