Case description:

Drowned, together with 36 men, women and children, while attempting to escape Cuba in the tugboat '13 de marzo' after it was intercepted and rammed by vessels commanded by Cuban authorities. His remains are missing; the Cuban government refused to return any recovered bodies to their families.
She had studied Accounting and Planning at the Institute of Economy in El Cotorro, Havana. After working for the Economics Department of Cuatro Caminos, she married and stayed home. Her husband, Juan, and her only brother, Reynaldo, survived.

Se ahogó junto con 36 hombres, mujeres y niños, que intentaban escapar de Cuba en el remolcador 13 de marzo, después de ser interceptado y golpeado por buques comandados por las autoridades cubanas.  El gobierno cubano se negó a devolver los cuerpos recuperados a sus familias.
Había estudiado Contabilidad y Planificación en el Instituto de Economía de El Cotorro, La Habana. Después de trabajar para el Departamento de Economía de Cuatro Caminos, se casó y no volvió a trabajar. Su marido, Juan, y su único hermano, Reynaldo, sobrevivieron.
