Case description:

Had accompanied friends who, to soothe their hunger, had tried to take a bag with a roll of bread with cheese from an old man on the street. At the sight of a police car, his friends fled and, even though the man's bread had not been taken and Lázaro had not taken part in the attempted theft, he was arrested. He refused to inform on his friends' names and was sentenced to five years in prison. There he rebelled against the injustice of his detention, his protestations taking political overtones. Kept in a solitary punishment cell for some time, he was subsequently transferred from the minors' rehabilitation center to a stricter prison and held at Combinado del Este prison Building Two. His family was informed that he was found dead in his cell, where he had hanged himself. The family suspects he was assassinated, as his coffin was sealed and they were not able to inspect the body for rope marks to the neck.

Había acompañado a unos amigos que, para calmar su hambre, habían intentado llevarse una bolsa con un panecillo con queso de un anciano de la calle. Al ver un coche de policía, sus amigos huyeron y, aunque al hombre no le habían quitado el pan y Lázaro no había participado en el intento de robo, fue detenido. Se negó a informar sobre los nombres de sus amigos y fue condenado a cinco años de prisión. Allí se rebeló contra la injusticia de su detención, sus protestas adquirieron connotaciones políticas. Retenido en una celda de castigo solitario durante algún tiempo, posteriormente fue trasladado del centro de rehabilitación de menores a una prisión más estricta y recluido en el Edificio Dos de la prisión de Combinado del Este. Su familia fue informada de que lo encontraron muerto en su celda, donde se había ahorcado. La familia sospecha que fue asesinado, ya que su ataúd estaba sellado y no pudieron inspeccionar el cuerpo en busca de marcas de cuerdas en el cuello.
