Case description:

Member of the resistance group Frente Nacional Unido, that was planning an uprising for August 30, 1962. Was captured and accused of leading a cell of seventy-one conspirators, most of whom were captured, subjected to a joint trial and some were executed. When he was apprehended, he was already very ill with diabetes and heart problems and was breathing from an oxygen chamber. Originally he was imprisoned at La Cabaña Fortress prison, but he was later moved to the infirmary of Prince Castle prison. He died there of cardiac arrest. He left behind a daughter, age five, Ana Olivia.

Miembro del grupo de resistencia Frente Nacional Unido, que estaba planeando un levantamiento para el 30 de agosto de 1962. Fue capturado y acusado de dirigir una célula de 71 conspiradores, la mayoría de los cuales fueron capturados, sometidos a un juicio conjunto y algunos fueron ejecutados. Cuando fue detenido, ya estaba muy enfermo de diabetes y problemas cardíacos y para respirar requería una cámara de oxígeno. Originalmente fue encarcelado en la prisión de la fortaleza de La Cabaña, pero más tarde fue trasladado a la enfermería de la prisión del Castillo del Príncipe. Murió allí de un paro cardíaco. Dejó atrás a una hija, cinco años, Ana Olivia.
