Case description:

Member of the July 26 Movement, led by Fidel Castro, in the Oriente province that was under the orders of leader Frank País. On December 30, 1956, he had placed bombs and firecrackers in different parts of the city and that night he was arrested and tortured in the dungeons of the Moncada Barracks. Nothing more was heard about him until January 2, when his body appeared next to that of William Soler and showed injuries sustained in life and after death. The soldiers Enrique Despaigne Nonet and René Caso Pérez, both executed by orders of Raúl Castro after January 1, 1959.

Miembro del Movimiento 26 de Julio, dirigido por Fidel Castro, en la provincia de Oriente que estuvo bajo las órdenes del líder Frank País.  El 30 de diciembre de 1956 había colocado bombas y petardos en distintos puntos de la ciudad y esa noche fue detenido y torturado en los calabozos del Cuartel Moncada. No se supo nada más de él hasta el 2 de enero, cuando su cadáver apareció junto al de William Soler y evidenciaba lesiones hechas en vida y después de muerto. Los militares  Enrique Despaigne Nonet y René Caso Pérez, ambos ejecutados por órdenes de Raúl Castro después del 1 de enero de 1959.
