Case description:

Seargent at the Palma Soriano army barracks. His sister and niece had been killed during an attack by the Rebel Army on the barracks while walking outside. He was executed with a group of 70 other men, all members of the armed forces, police, and Batista supporters, ordered killed by Raúl Castro just days after the triumph of the Revolution. In the early morning hours of January 12th and into the morning, the men were lined up in pairs in front of ditches dug up earlier that day at the Madrevieja Shooting Practice Field, San Juan Hill, and shot by firing squad.  The mass graves were then filled by bulldozer, witnesses' report some were buried still alive. In September 1963, torrential rains from Hurricane Flora unearthed the bodies from their shallow grave and they were thrown in cement casings into the Bartlett Deep, off the coast of Oriente province.

Trabajaba en la oficina del cuartel del ejército de Palma Soriano. Su hermana y su sobrina habían muerto durante un ataque del ejército rebelde al cuartel, mientras ellas caminaban cerca de allí. Fue ejecutado pocos días después del triunfo de la Revolución, cuando Raúl Castro ordenó la muerte de decenas de miembros de las fuerzas armadas, la policía y partidarios de Batista. Durante la madrugada del 12 de enero y hasta la mañana, los hombres fueron alineados en parejas frente a zanjas excavadas ese mismo día en el Campo de Prácticas de Tiro de Madrevieja, La Loma de San Juan y fusilados. Las fosas comunes se llenaron luego con una excavadora, según informes de los testigos, algunos fueron enterrados vivos. En septiembre de 1963, las lluvias torrenciales del huracán Flora desenterraron los cuerpos de esa tumba poco profunda y fueron puestos en  carcasas de cemento y arrojados en la Fosa de Bartlett, en la costa sur de la provincia de Oriente.
