Case description:

Castro opponent who disappeared with two U.S. citizens (pilot Geoffrey Sullivan and reporter Alexander Rorke) in or en route to Cuba during a CIA sponsored flight to deliver supplies to the anti-Castro resistance movement fighting in the Escambray mountains of Cuba. Their Beechcraft bimotor airplane had taken off from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and refueled in Cozumel, Mexico, en route to Cuba.  Credible sources later reported that the plane had been shot down over Cuban territory and that at least the pilot, Sullivan, had been tortured and imprisoned for over a decade before being executed.

Opositor al régimen de Castro que desapareció con dos ciudadanos estadounidenses (el piloto Geoffrey Sullivan y el reportero Alexander Rorke) en o en ruta a Cuba durante un vuelo patrocinado por la CIA para entregar suministros al movimiento de resistencia anticastrista que luchaba en las montañas del Escambray en Cuba. Su avión bimotor Beechcraft había despegado de Fort Lauderdale, Florida, y reabastecido de combustible en Cozumel, México, en ruta a Cuba. Fuentes creíbles informaron más tarde que el avión había sido derribado sobre territorio cubano y que al menos el piloto, Sullivan, había sido torturado y encarcelado durante más de una década antes de ser ejecutado.
