Case description:

Officer of the  SIM (Military Intelligence Service) executed by firing squad. He and 18 other men, including his father and his brother in law, were executed together on charges of war crimes for which no proof was presented or trial held. Revolutionary commander and former Oriente teacher Huber Matos reportedly issued the orders for their prompt execution without trial of the men. (Some were subjected together to a summary "trial" lasting less than an hour.)  Without warning to their families, the men were hastily taken to a shooting range 14 kms. outside of the city of Camaguey, placed in front of a recently dug trench, and shot. For weeks, the families were not allowed to take the remains of their loved ones for proper burial. He left at least one child.

Oficial del SIM (Servicio de Inteligencia Militar) ejecutado por fusilamiento. Él y otros 18 hombres, incluidos su padre y su cuñado, fueron ejecutados juntos por delitos de guerra de los que no se presentaron pruebas ni se celebró juicio. El comandante revolucionario, Huber Matos, habría emitido las órdenes para su pronta ejecución sin juicio de los 19 hombres. Sin previo aviso a sus familiares, los hombres fueron llevados apresuradamente a un campo de tiro a 14 kms. en las afueras de la ciudad de Camagüey, colocados frente a una trinchera recién excavada, y fusilados. Durante semanas, a las familias no se les permitió llevarse los restos de sus seres queridos para el entierro adecuado. Dejó al menos un hijo.
